"We provide a community for families in Hungary whose children have chronic conditions"

Country Ambassador Viktória - Hungary

Who is Viktória?

I am Viktória from Budapest, which is the beautiful capital of Hungary. I have just finished my Masters in Marketing at the Corvinus University of Budapest this summer. Throughout my time at University I have had several jobs and internship experiences at big corporations. However, I have not been that passionate about them.

I wanted to create a change. Fortunately since I believe that I am an open minded person the opportunity to create a changes in the world found me. Me and my partner built an organisation where we provide a community and relaxation for families in Hungary whose children have chronic conditions such as autism, ADHD, or Down syndrome.

Currently we are working with our NGO called KIKAPCS full time, but this is also our hobby, our profession and much more. That is the reason why I want to be part and help to develop other amazing NGO-s such as Pamoja Girls, to encourage all girls to be confident and see no limits to believe that they could go after and get absolutely anything they want.

Besides work I love to spend time abroad and meet foreign people. I am super interested in foreign cultures, which has pushed me to work hard to learn new languages.

Sport is also an important part of my identity. When I was a child I used to do horse riding and rhythmic gymnastics and tennis. Currently I run on ta weekly basis and practicing yoga and pilates.

Who is an inspiration of yours?

My dad is one of my role models. He did not see limitation to go after what he wanted. Therefore his work became what he love to do. That motivated me to go after an opportunity that I would love to work with everyday. In addition, my friends inspire my because I learn a lot from them about life from their perspectives.

What change do you wish to see in your community/country?

I would love to see more people be more optimistic! Also, It would be amazing if corporations set a goal to hire people with disabilities to make diversity changes.

Where should we eat if we come to your community?

Wow we have so many good restaurants, but if I’d have to pick one, I’d definitely say Déryné Bistro, which has such a good vibe and atmosphere with good music.
